Bethoven geeft de voorkeur aan knuffelen. Hij is kalm, zachtaardig en gemakkelijk in de omgang. Hij is het soort hond dat je aankijkt met die grote ogen en waarbij je meteen denkt: ‘ja, dit is hem’. Bethoven is rustig, maar hij heeft ook een grappige kant. Zo nu en dan heeft hij een gekke bui en probeert toch serieus te zijn, maar dat lukt hem dan net niet.
