Anyone who takes a closer look at Bexa in her photos will immediately see it: this lively little dog simply can’t wait to finally explore the big, wide world. Bexa is one of the puppies from the litter of the brave mother Adele. Her start in life was incredibly challenging, as her mother gave birth to her right by a dangerous road where cars posed a constant threat. Fortunately, the story took a happy turn, and Bexa was brought to safety in time. Today, she’s about 2 months old, stands roughly 28 cm tall, and is bursting with joy and energy. Which breeds are hidden within this clever little pup remains a sweet surprise—after all, even her mother’s genes are a mystery—and herding dog traits cannot be ruled out. When fully grown, Bexa will probably reach a nice, medium size. So far, her compatibility with cats has not been tested. As curious as Bexa is, she still needs to learn what life in a home entails: normal everyday noises, house training, and the basics of doggy etiquette—such as walking on a leash. That’s why we’re looking for dedicated people who can channel Bexa’s adventurous spirit with patience, love, and a good dose of humor. A little whirlwind like Bexa needs loving yet consistent guidance from day one. In the coming months, alongside playtime, adventures, and cuddle sessions, Bexa will also learn about setting boundaries—and later on, she’ll enter puberty, a phase when young dogs love to test just how serious their two-legged caregivers really are. However, with positive reinforcement training and regular attendance at puppy classes, Bexa is guaranteed to grow into an amazing companion. Are you eager to discover the world together with Bexa and give her the loving home she longs for? Then please get in touch with us. Bexa travels vaccinated, dewormed, flea-treated, chipped, and comes with her EU pet passport. The

About Bexa

What life with Bexa looks like

Bexa is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bexa, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bexa?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bexa on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bexa if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bexa already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bexa isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bexa and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
