Adoption Requirements Adoption Process Request this Animal Now! Adoption Requirements Adoption Process Request this Dog Now! Tiny Bexley is one of the brave puppies born to mom dog Adele. His story began in a dangerous place: his mother gave birth to him and his siblings by the roadside, where the little family was exposed daily to the great risk of being run over. Fortunately, the tiny brood was rescued in time, allowing Bexley to grow up safely and lovingly. The little guy is only about 2 months old, currently measures around 25 cm, and is simply adorable. It’s hard to estimate which breeds might be in him, as even his mother’s breed origin remains uncertain. Anything is possible—nothing is certain; herding dog genes cannot be ruled out. When fully grown, he’ll probably reach medium size. We also don’t know whether he’d get along with cats. As a typical puppy, Bexley is completely unfamiliar with life in a house and the everyday human routine. Things like potty training, being left alone, riding in the car, or walking on a leash are all completely new territory for him. His new people should therefore bring plenty of patience, love, and humor to help him gradually adjust to his new world. A puppy never moves in fully trained—Bexley is just at the very beginning of his journey. In the coming months, he’ll need loving, consistent training to learn the basics of doggy life. It’s also important to be aware that after the cute puppy phase, puberty lies ahead. During this phase, boundaries will be tested, and what has been learned may temporarily be “forgotten.” With the right, loving guidance, understanding, and above all, attending a positively oriented dog school together, Bexley is guaranteed to grow into a wonderful companion for life. We’re looking for people who are fully aware of the responsibility that comes with owning a young dog and who have the time needed to show him the world. Would you like to accompany Bexley on his journey and give him the happy life he so richly deserves? Then please get in touch with us. Bexley travels chipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated, accompanied by his EU pet passport. After a positive preliminary check, he can be adopted for a protection fee. Alternatively, a foster home would also be a great first step toward a happy future. Many thanks, Caro—you’ve given Bexley his name and thus provided him with an identity. Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 19.08.2026

About Bexley

What life with Bexley looks like

Bexley is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bexley, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bexley?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bexley on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bexley if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bexley already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bexley isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bexley and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
