Bianka

Female · Adult · 7 years

She is currently staying in a foster home. Bianka is a mixed-breed dog, part Dalmatian with traits of a TTB (Tibetan Terrier). She’s currently in a foster home, where she’s a perfect canine model in terms of behavior. She doesn’t destroy anything and keeps the place clean. She’s a cheerful, curious dog in an environment she knows well. Every new situation is challenging for her. Unfortunately, any unfamiliar setting triggers significant anxiety in her, so she needs to be gradually introduced to different environments. The sight of a person or a passing car immediately puts Bianka into “run as far away as possible” mode. She loves toys like balls and tug toys. She absolutely adores showing off her strength, which often leaves humans at a disadvantage. As for human closeness, Bianka generally decides when she feels like it—and this should be respected. A home with just a garden, an apartment without a garden, or a densely built-up area are all out of the question. She’s looking for an owner who’s willing to devote time to her, understands the needs of an anxious dog, and is ready to work closely with a behaviorist if necessary.

Aktualnie przebywa w domu tymczasowym. Bianka to pies w typie mix dalmatyńczyka z cechami psa TTB.

About Bianka

What life with Bianka looks like

Bianka is a medium-sized adult dog waiting at Schronisko dla Zwierząt w Poznaniu in Poznan.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bianka, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bianka?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko dla Zwierząt w Poznaniu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bianka on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bianka if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko dla Zwierząt w Poznaniu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bianka already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bianka isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko dla Zwierząt w Poznaniu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bianka and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
