Pepper is a terrier-type dog. He’s a very sensitive and fearful fellow. He’s afraid of cars and sudden noises, but his greatest fear is triggered by buildings. His caregivers are still working with him to help him enter rooms more confidently. He does go into his crate, and our volunteers are doing their best to help him overcome his fears. The future owner must be aware that there’s still a long way to go before the dog will trust them in stressful situations and seek comfort and support from them. Pepper will never become a couch potato, and established rules can only help him adjust better to his new home. For Pepper, we’re looking for a home that is: – consistent and adheres to clear rules, – located away from the city and heavy street traffic, – has time to engage in active play with the dog, – is free of small children, – is free of other pets.

Pepper jest psem w typie terriera. Jest bardzo wrażliwym i lękliwym gościem. Boi się samochodów i nagłych hałasów, ale największy jego strach budzą budynki. Opiekunowie nadal pracują z nim nad swobodnym wchodzeniem do pomieszczeń. Do swojego boksu wchodzi. Nasi wolontariusze starają się oswajać jego lęki. Przyszły właściciel musi mieć świadomość, iż jeszcze długa droga, aby pies w chwilach stresu mu zaufał i szukał w nim oparcia. Pepper nigdy nie stanie się kanapowcem, a ustalone zasady mogą mu tylko pomóc w zaaklimatyzowaniu się w nowym domu. Dla Pepper’a szukamy domu: – konsekwentnego, przestrzegającego zasady – z dala od miasta i ruchu ulicznego – mającego czas na aktywność z psem – bez małych dzieci – bez innych zwierząt
