adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Bienchen has found her home! Her story: May we introduce her? Here comes Bienchen – and she is just as diligent in gathering hearts as her namesake is in gathering pollen! The beautiful gray fluff girl with her glowing, amber eyes and her playful standing ears immediately puts everyone in a good mood with her cheerful nature. Despite all the cheerfulness, her story began very sadly: Bienchen was found alone by the roadside in a village. But she has preserved her sunny disposition and now dreams of a life in a loving family where she will finally belong and be spoiled to her heart's content. Bienchen is 4 years old, 44 cm tall, and weighs 15 kg, and with this perfect size, she can be everywhere. She is a uncomplicated companion: friendly, open, cuddly, but never pushy. Bienchen loves spending time with people, enjoys cuddles, and already runs nicely on the leash. It is highly likely that Bienchen has not yet experienced life in a house, but with a lot of patience and loving guidance, she will certainly master it – preferably with the help of dog training classes that work with positive reinforcement! At the shelter in Fantanele, she currently lives with one male dog and one female dog and shows herself to be super unproblematic and compatible here. We have not yet tested whether she likes cats. Bienchen is microchipped, vaccinated, treated for fleas, dewormed, neutered, and has an EU pet passport. She is ready for adoption for a fee of 500 Euro. Many thanks, dear Chris W., for enabling Bienchen to start a new life with your namesake sponsorship! As of: 03.10.

Stand: 03.10.2025

About Bienchen

What life with Bienchen looks like

Bienchen is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bienchen, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bienchen?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bienchen on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bienchen if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bienchen already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bienchen isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bienchen and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
