Bilbo

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 1 year

BILBO - a male kitten found on Kruszelinckiego Street. He uses a litter box. He is now waiting for his chance to grow up with the care, love, and sense of security that only a home can provide. When adopting a kitten, you must remember that, contrary to popular belief, raising such a small animal is not at all the easiest thing to do. We do not recommend adopting kittens to a home with young children. Kittens are just learning how strong their claws and teeth can be, which often causes scratches and bruises. This is the most common reason for returns from adoption. In the case of such young animals, you must be prepared to learn everything from scratch. Kittens are extremely energetic and can destroy furniture, curtains, etc. You must remember that a cat can live for up to 20 years, so taking a kitten means you will be responsible for it for a very long time. Kittens instinctively use a litter box, but you must remember that there may be cases when you will have to work on litter training. Remember that kittens are the highest risk group due to their lack of full vaccinations - they can get sick, the disease may initially be asymptomatic. Birth date: ~09/2026 We inform that each animal can be adopted virtually. For more information on this topic, please contact us by email ( or through our Facebook profile:) More information about the animal can be obtained by contacting the Shelter office at the number For the adoption of a dog, you need an ID card, a leash, and a collar. For the adoption of a cat, you need an ID card and a carrier. All dogs and cats are chipped, dewormed, vaccinated against infectious diseases. Dogs are also vaccinated against rabies. Adult animals can leave for a new home after a castration/sterilization procedure. Puppies/kittens leave the shelter without the procedure, but they are provided with a free sterilization/castration procedure at the appropriate age. The age of the dog/cat is determined based on the state of the teeth and the general appearance, so it should be treated as an approximate value. ADOPTION IS FREE THERE IS THE POSSIBILITY OF TRANSPORT - WARSAW, KRAKOW, WROCLAW, POZNAŃ, KATOWICE, ŁÓDŹ, LUBLIN or other cities after agreement. BILBO - kocurek znaleziony na ul. Kruszelinckiego. Korzysta z kuwety. About Bilbo

What life with Bilbo looks like

Bilbo is a small young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adopters usually cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bilbo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bilbo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bilbo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bilbo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Bilbo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bilbo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bilbo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
