Hij is nieuwsgierig, ondernemend en dol op spelen. Hoort hij iemand van het gastgezin de trap op komen, dan staat hij al bij de deur te wachten (en als hij de kans krijgt, ontsnapt hij om even in een andere kamer te gaan kijken). Zijn favoriete speeltje is een hengel met veertjes: als hij zijn ‘prooi’ heeft gevangen, loopt hij er trots mee rond. Tot het touwtje terugveert en de jacht weer opnieuw begint. Billy vindt het gezellig als je in de buurt bent, maar kan zich ook prima zelf vermaken. Billy heeft twee standen: vol energie of volledig ontspannen.
