adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Bina has found her home! Her story: The 1-year-old Bina dreams in Romania of a warm home with a family that will embrace her and never let her go. The pretty female dog with her white fur and sweet brown mask on her face is already packed and ready to go. Bina is a ca. 75 cm tall female dog, found on the streets of Baia Mares as one of many unplanned puppies. She quickly left her tough past behind and shows herself to be an active and playful female dog seeking a family connection. She gets along well with children and other dogs. Only cats should not be in her new home. It is assumed that Bina is not yet familiar with life in a house. Leash walking and house training are just as unfamiliar to her as the behavior rules for a well-behaved house dog. But we are sure that Bina will quickly learn the whole dog 1×1 if trained patiently and lovingly. Bina is currently going through puberty and will test the limits from time to time. Of course, the little one also needs loving, clear boundaries that should be shown to her exclusively with positive reinforcement. Attending a dog training class that works with positive reinforcement will certainly benefit her and contribute to a good relationship with her family. We are looking for loving people who will always train Bina with positive reinforcement. People who will give her time to adjust to her new life, give her lots of cuddles and beautiful walks. An enclosed garden where Bina can run and lie in the sun would be perfect, but is not a requirement for placement. Due to her appearance, we cannot rule out her having herdsman protection genes, so her future family should be familiar with character-typical traits. An ideal home would be a more rural setting with a garden where the mouse can move freely. The sweet Bina travels neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated. She has an EU pet passport and can be placed after a positive foster home experience. Many thanks to Agnes, who gave Bina her beautiful name and identity for her new life. As of: 15.04.

Stand: 15.04.2025

About Bina

What life with Bina looks like

Bina is a extra-large young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bina, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bina?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bina on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bina if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bina already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bina isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bina and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
