Bingo

Border Collie · Male · Kitten · 4 months

Bingo is a sensitive dog who needs time to build trust. Once secure, he becomes sociable and endearing, but can act as a guardian when faced with strangers. He gets along well with other dogs. Bingo needs daily walks to thrive and a reassuring environment. He's not comfortable in all situations and must be guided with patience and kindness. What he seeks most: clear rules, gentleness, and stable routine to feel confident. He doesn't expect a perfect family, just humans ready to understand him and progress at his pace. Another well-balanced dog in the home could help him. Note: he lightly bit someone's leg during excitement in foster care. Rated 2/4. Requires securely fenced yard.

About Bingo

What life with Bingo looks like

Bingo is a medium-sized kitten border collie cat waiting at SPA Golfech in Golfech.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

Note from the shelter: History of bite incident when excited, requires secure fenced yard, needs patient handling and clear routines

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bingo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bingo?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SPA Golfech handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bingo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bingo if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SPA Golfech will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Bingo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bingo isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SPA Golfech early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bingo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
