BLACK PEARL

British Shorthair · Male · Young · 1 year

Our British Shorthair tomcat BLACK PEARL was born around September 2025. He came to us as a found cat, so we unfortunately have no information about his background. BLACK PEARL is looking for a loving home with people who enjoy an active and lively tomcat. He is suitable for families with children from a slightly older age. He gets along well with fellow animals. As he is very social and playful, he needs a confident companion of a similar age who can play, wrestle, and snuggle with him. BLACK PEARL will be rehomed in a suitable apartment living situation. As he brings a lot of energy, he wishes for a spacious home with plenty of room to run, climb, and play. A fully secured and escape-proof balcony is a must. In a quiet, rural environment, after appropriate acclimatization and individual assessment, a walk or a home with a garden might also be possible. BLACK PEARL is a very people-oriented and friendly young tomcat. He enjoys being close to his people, loves cuddles, and seeks contact. At the same time, he is full of energy: he is particularly temperamental, playful, and always on the lookout for new activities. Additionally, he shares and accompanies the daily life of his people with his communicative nature. A slight heart problem was detected in BLACK PEARL, which currently does not require treatment. Regular veterinary check-ups are still recommended. Moreover, BLACK PEARL is brachycephalic, so occasional snorting or louder breathing sounds are completely normal for him. -0Fax:. -0Fax: 089/90 73 20E-Mail

About BLACK PEARL

What life with BLACK PEARL looks like

BLACK PEARL is a large young adult british shorthair cat waiting at Tierschutzverein München.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting BLACK PEARL, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about BLACK PEARL?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein München handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw BLACK PEARL on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt BLACK PEARL if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein München will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is BLACK PEARL already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if BLACK PEARL isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein München early rather than rehoming privately; they know BLACK PEARL and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
