Blacky & Julia

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Young · 3 years

Blacky (black) and Julia are simply meant to be together! These two lovely female cats came to our shelter together and don't want to be apart in the future. Therefore, they will only be adopted together. The two approximately 2-3 year old European Shorthair cats (EKH) have shown themselves to be nice and friendly furry friends here, and are now waiting for a loving home where they can arrive together. Blacky and Julia are used to living indoors, so they will be happy in a nice apartment in the future. A secure balcony would be a great addition. Alternatively, we can also imagine a home with outdoor access after a sufficient acclimatization period, preferably in a quiet and traffic-free environment. Whoever wants to give two lovable female cats a home will get with Blacky and Julia a harmonious duo that wants to start a new chapter together. Maybe the two can move in together with you soon?

About Blacky & Julia

What life with Blacky & Julia looks like

Blacky & Julia is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Tierschutzverein Trier und Umgebung e.V. in Germany.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Blacky & Julia, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Blacky & Julia?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Trier und Umgebung e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Blacky & Julia on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Blacky & Julia if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Trier und Umgebung e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Blacky & Julia already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Blacky & Julia isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Trier und Umgebung e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Blacky & Julia and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
