Bloß keinen Garten

Mixed Breed · Unknown

So a garden could be perfect for a dog and its owner, one might think. The bigger, the better. With a secure fence and plenty of space to run around, it couldn’t be ideal, especially if the house dog is particularly energetic and playful. But there’s a secret roommate who equally loves the garden: the inner pig-dog. The house dog adores long walks, rarely minds the weather, and is very flexible in terms of timing. The invisible pig-dog, on the other hand, is naturally hesitant and never lacks an excuse. He maintains a rigid walking schedule with a daily pro-and-con list: minimum time loss, rain probability, dirt in the hallway upon returning… Every time the dog’s gaze longingly fixes on the leash, which is conveniently hanging next to the front door, instead, the terrace door beckons: off to the garden, as long as you like! The pig-dog recommends: ‘Going out with the dog’ can then be taken off the daily to-do list, because now he’s out, and no one has to go. And walking comes back on that other list, which starts on December 31st with all the New Year’s resolutions. We also place owners without a garden in, because they are definitely going for walks. You have no other choice but to go.

About Bloß keinen Garten

What life with Bloß keinen Garten looks like

Bloß keinen Garten is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Wir retten Hunde e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bloß keinen Garten, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bloß keinen Garten?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Wir retten Hunde e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bloß keinen Garten on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bloß keinen Garten if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Wir retten Hunde e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bloß keinen Garten already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bloß keinen Garten isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Wir retten Hunde e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bloß keinen Garten and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
