Originally, Blue was supposed to move to a foster home, but unfortunately contact was lost, and he had to remain with us at the shelter. Despite everything he has experienced, Blue has never let his past define him. Instead, he has slowly begun to trust again and shows what a gentle and loving soul he truly is.Blue is still cautious around strangers. He tends to keep his distance at first, watching quietly and carefully. Yet it’s always clear that he wants to connect — he just isn’t quite brave enough yet. In his own time, he takes small steps toward people, especially when he feels safe and not pressured.When Blue is given patience and understanding, he begins to open up. Once he trusts someone, his affectionate side shines through. He has built a strong bond with Keith and clearly enjoys every moment of attention. Blue loves being stroked and cherishes the connection with a kind and gentle human.He has a calm, balanced nature and is always soft and friendly in his interactions — both with people and with other dogs. Blue gets along very well with other dogs and integrates easily into a group. He is especially gentle with puppies, showing great patience and kindness as a playful and caring companion.Blue now greets shelter visitors with quiet curiosity and is learning more and more that new people can be kind. While we don’t have specific information about his behavior around cats or children, his gentle and sensitive character suggests that, with proper introductions, he could adapt well.Blue is not a dog who runs toward you right away.
