For Blue, this meant a significant change, which he has managed with remarkable calmness and stability. Overall, he comes across as a secure dog without noticeable fears towards either men or women, and he handles new situations confidently. Typical for his breed, Blue possesses many qualities of a Husky: He is very athletic, enduring, and enjoys physical activity, often appearing calm and composed in demeanor without losing energy. Huskies were originally bred as sled dogs and are designed to work over long distances. Consequently, Blue also needs regular, challenging exercise and a task that challenges him both physically and mentally. His hunting drive is present and typical for the breed, so a securely fenced property and foresighted handling are important.
