Princess

Mixed Breed · Female

Our millennium baby, Princess, arrived at APAC in 2019 along with a donkey named Paka. Sadly, both had to be given up because their previous owner was suffering from cancer. It was a heartbreaking situation, as she adored the pair of them. Paka was soon adopted, but the lovely Princess is still with us. Princess has only one eye, but this girl still has everything in her sight! She is fit and healthy and an absolute pillar of our herd. Can you provide a loving home for this beautiful girl? Otherwise, why not sponsor her? Visit our donate page to find out more.

About Princess

What life with Princess looks like

Princess is an extra-large adult mixed breed horse waiting at APAC Rescue Horses in Spain.

Adopting a horse is a long-term commitment that almost always requires either land or a boarding stable. The shelter will discuss the horse's training level, vet history, and what kind of work or companionship they're suited for. Expect ongoing costs: feed, farrier, vet, and stabling.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Paperwork, vet checks and transport rules differ by species and by country. Ask the shelter what is included and what you will need to arrange before you commit.

Frequently asked

Adopting Princess, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Princess?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. APAC Rescue Horses handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Princess on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Princess if I live in another country?: Sometimes. Whether a horse can move between countries depends on the species and the rules in both countries, and some species need permits or have restrictions. Ask APAC Rescue Horses what paperwork and transport they require, and check the import rules of your country before you commit.
Is Princess already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: What a horse comes with (vet checks, vaccinations, identification, paperwork) varies by shelter and species. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask APAC Rescue Horses directly what is included and what Princess still needs.
What happens if Princess isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with APAC Rescue Horses early rather than rehoming privately; they know Princess and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
