Bluebell & Lupin

Mixed Breed Cat Β· Unknown Β· Kitten Β· 18 months

Could you be Bluebell and Lupin's purrfect home?Bluebell is a sweet, gentle cat who came to us with her brother (who has been homed) and her tiny kitten Lupin…who is growing up fast! Sadly her owner couldn't meet their care needs and we needed to step in quickly. Bluebell hasn't let her troubles get her down and remains loving and trusting of people; perhaps a little shy on first meeting, but is soon nuzzling at your hand for fuss. Gorgeous girl. She has been a wonderful mum to cheeky little Lupin and generally puts up with his kitteny antics! Lupin is a fantastic little bundle of fluffy energy and an absolute joy. He loves a catnap on a human lap and playing in cardboard boxes and tunnels! And Bluebell and Lupin play together too of course, but then spend time apart, with one sleeping upstairs, the other downstairs. But here's the lovely thing, Bluebell will appear almost as if calling him for a feed- it’s so very sweet. So we'd like them to be homed as mother and son to the right adopters, who appreciate and understand their different needs. Both Bluebell and Lupin are used to children who know to be gentle and who’ll enjoy playing with them. Neither have lived with or met dogs. Bluebell has now been spayed, she vaccinated and microchipped. Loveable, little Lupin is vaccinated, microchipped and when old enough his adopter will be entitled to reduced cost neutering at our partner vet practice when he's old enough. Adopting mother and son will be such a unique privilege, all the fun and games a kitten brings, alongside the gentleness of a gorgeous adult cat. The best of both worlds.

About Bluebell & Lupin

What life with Bluebell & Lupin looks like

Bluebell & Lupin is a very small kitten mixed breed cat cat waiting at Swansea Cats and Kittens in United Kingdom.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months β€” most shelters arrange this before adoption.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bluebell & Lupin, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bluebell & Lupin?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Swansea Cats and Kittens handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bluebell & Lupin on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bluebell & Lupin if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” Swansea Cats and Kittens will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Bluebell & Lupin already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bluebell & Lupin isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Swansea Cats and Kittens early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bluebell & Lupin and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
