Adopt Bob

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 2 years

Friendly, lively, clever, and compatible, Bob, the dog who has already earned his ticket to happiness! Bob is not an ordinary rescue dog. Bob is a dog with a plan! His story with us began in October when he simply invited himself to dinner during our castration campaign and emptied the bowls of our dogs. When our colleague Mats found him a day later on a busy street and opened the car door, Bob didn't hesitate: Swish, he was already sitting in the front seat. Freely following the motto: "Take me with you, I belong with you!" Actually, Bob, since he had no chip and no owner, was supposed to be released back to his usual environment after the castration. But Bob objected. He had fallen deeply in love with the female dog Anouk and stubbornly refused to leave the animal shelter. His charm won, and he was allowed to stay and is now looking for his forever home from here. This is Bob: Bob is a young, lively male dog who loves life. He is particularly friendly, very people-oriented, and approaches new things without fear. However, he is also a little power pack: playful, a bit unruly, and full of drive. Bob is looking for: Visually and in terms of behavior, the hunting dog-mixed breed in him cannot be denied. This means: Bob is not a couch potato. He is looking for active people who want to move around with him. He needs not only physical exercise (long walks, hiking, possibly dog sports), but also mental work. Since a prey drive can be assumed, his new humans should enjoy working with him on basic obedience and recall. Bob is ready to give his heart again, this time not just to a female dog, but to his humans. Do you have the right dog bed for our charming self-willed one? All are vaccinated, microchipped, and have an EU passport. They are checked for Mediterranean diseases according to their age. See information on our homepage. Every adopted dog makes space for one of those dogs who live in hunger and emaciation.

AUFENTHALTSORT

About Bob

What life with Bob looks like

Bob is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at A.C.E. Animal Compassion Europe - Tiere in Not e.V. in Greece.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇷Adopting from Greece

Greek shelters often partner with Northern European rescue groups for placements. Animals are sterilized, vaccinated, and chipped before adoption. Fees vary widely depending on whether the shelter is municipal or NGO-run.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bob, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bob?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. A.C.E. Animal Compassion Europe - Tiere in Not e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bob on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bob if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — A.C.E. Animal Compassion Europe - Tiere in Not e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bob already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bob isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with A.C.E. Animal Compassion Europe - Tiere in Not e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bob and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
