adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Bob has settled well in his foster home and is discovering more of the world every day. In a familiar environment, he is mostly relaxed, enjoys the closeness to his people, and loves extensive cuddling sessions. His home is a safe haven where he feels secure and comfortable. However, many impressions outside are still new and sometimes overwhelming for him. In unfamiliar situations, Bob initially reacts with insecurity, but remains always approachable and closely oriented to his trusted people. He actively seeks protection from people and displays a very sensitive and cautious nature. Occasionally, his insecurity is expressed through barking. Bob initially meets strangers with reserve. Once he realizes there is no danger, he quickly warms up and shows his cuddly, playful, and very people-oriented side. Age-appropriate, he still has some mischief in his head but is also eager to learn and easy to approach. With loving consistency and clear structures, he will develop into a reliable companion. The house training is currently being established. Outside, it sometimes proves challenging for him to break away in intense situations. Here, he needs patient people who can provide him with security and give him the time to adjust at his own pace. A quiet home with a garden would greatly ease his entry. Bob is generally friendly with other dogs. A confident single-dog can provide additional orientation and help him gain more security. He is friendly with children but is still a bit unsure in handling. He does not know cats. Bob has already discovered a great liking: water. Whether puddle or stream, he loves to splash and playfully engage with it. For Bob, we wish for a home with sensitive and ideally dog-experienced people who can show him the world with patience, understanding, and clear guidance. People who can give him security and enjoy accompanying him on his journey. Whoever gives Bob this chance wins a loyal, sensitive, and loving companion. After a positive assessment, we thank the namingspouse Fred B. for choosing Bob's cute name. Status: 23.04. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 23.04.2026

About Bob

What life with Bob looks like

Bob is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bob, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bob?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bob on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bob if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bob already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bob isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bob and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
