Bob liep alleen over straat, geen plek voor een klein hondje, veel te gevaarlijk, gelukkig was er een plekje in de opvang en hij voelde zich al snel thuis tussen al de andere hondjes. Vrijwilligers verzorgen de honden en er wordt veel met ze geknuffeld. Kortom, de honden leren dat mensen leuk en vriendelijk zijn. Bob woont nu een paar weken in de opvang, eerst is hij helemaal geknipt, zijn vacht was helemaal vervilt en daar kwam een knap en stoer mannetje tevoorschijn. Hij is daar gechipt, en ingeënt en kan de reis naar Nederland maken. In Nederland komt Bob in een gastgezin zodat hij aan ons drukke landje kan wennen, deze vriendelijke viervoeter zoekt een baasje die er lekker op uit gaat met hem. Bob is drager van de ziekte leishmaniose, hij heeft geen klachten en verder geen last van deze ziekte. Het is wel belangrijk om kennis te hebben van leishmaniose zodat je de symptomen kan herkennen. Voor meer informatie over deze ziekte willen we dit graag in een gesprek uitleggen, sommige van onze vrijwilligers hebben ervaring met een hondje met leishmaniose. Bob is in de opvang een leergierige en een speels hondje, hij is gewend aan mensen, ook de mensen die hij niet dagelijks ziet daar loopt hij vrolijk kwispelen op af en wil graag aandacht en is super blij met een aai. Bob kan goed overweg met de andere honden in de opvang en ze rennen dan ook elke dag op het speelveld. Bob is een vrolijk hondje, dat na het spelen op zoek gaat naar een plekje in de schaduw om een dutje te doen. Bob is een klein maar stoer hondje die fijn overal mee naar toe kan. Een tuin zou fijn zijn voor hem zodat hij lekker kan snuffelen en rennen. Natuurlijk zal Bob nog aan ons leven in Nederland moeten wennen, aan de riem lopen is hij nog niet gewend maar met wat geduld zal hij een fantastische wandelmaatje worden.
