Bobby

Mixed Breed · Male · Kitten · 4 months

Bobby was caught as part of a group of 10 cats and kittens who were living in a garden. We believed they were feral, but after neutering, they were kept inside for a couple of days to recover from the flu, and they said, ” Surprise, we were just scared and are actually friendly! Bobby is a typical boisterous boy but also a total cuddle bug who likes to be held in your arms. He can be a bit shy at first but soon wants to be friends, especially if you have treats. He is 4 months old and is neutered, microchipped, flea and worm treated. He has previously lived with other cats, not been tried with dogs. He should be ok with older children.

About Bobby

What life with Bobby looks like

Bobby is a kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Chester Kitty Cat Rescue in United Kingdom.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bobby, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bobby?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Chester Kitty Cat Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bobby on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bobby if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Chester Kitty Cat Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Bobby already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bobby isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Chester Kitty Cat Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bobby and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
