Bobo

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 5 months

Bobo is a curious puppy who shows how much joie de vivre he has, as soon as he feels safe. In contact with other dogs, he behaves like a typical puppy: he plays, dashes around, explores his surroundings and orients himself towards his fellow dogs. He is even more open with his two brothers and already shows interest in humans. Since his rescue, he has developed positively. Now he needs above all one thing: a home of his own, where he can grow up protected and finally be a carefree puppy. Bobo is currently about 5 months old and weighs around 9 kg. For such a young dog, his start in life was unfortunately anything but easy. He was rescued together with the puppies Jamie and Emie from the public shelter. His mother could not be rescued in time and was killed there. Too early, the puppies had to cope without their mother. The shelter is not a suitable place for a puppy like him. He is currently still shy and reserved with people and reacts anxiously to many new things at first. At the same time, he has already developed positively since his rescue. Together with his brother Jamie, he is increasingly showing interest in people and becoming more confident. He gets along well with his fellow dogs. Especially in the company of other dogs, he shows his normal puppy nature: he plays, runs around, is curious and can relax. He also begins to increasingly make contact with people. Cats have not been tested so far. Therefore, we wish for him that he can leave the shelter as soon as possible. He needs people who give him security and orientation and understand that trust does not develop overnight. In a quiet home, he can arrive and learn at his own pace that new situations can be safe and positive. The ABC of dogs is still ahead of him: house training, leash, car travel, everyday noises, staying alone and much more. A positively working dog school would be a valuable support. With loving, patient and clear guidance, he can grow into a secure and cheerful family dog. Bobo is still very young and has hardly had the opportunity to get to know the world outside the shelter. It is all the more important that he now gets the chance to have his own family and catch up on everything that belongs to a happy dog life. Whoever accompanies him with patience and empathy may experience how the cautious little puppy becomes a curious, playful and lively young dog. He travels with a microchip, vaccinated, dewormed and flea-free with his valid EU pet passport to his new home. Due to his young age, he is not yet neutered. After a positive preliminary check, he can be placed for a deposit. He would also be very happy about a loving foster home. Many thanks to the anonymous godfather for Bobo! Status: 07.10.2026

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! About Bobo

What life with Bobo looks like

Bobo is a puppy mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bobo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bobo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bobo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bobo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Bobo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bobo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bobo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
