Lenox

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Puppy · 4 months

adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! The sky has a star more, a very special one. With a heavy heart and far too early, we must bid farewell to the sweet Lenox. Little man, cross the rainbow bridge well, you will be missed sorely. His story: Lenox and his seven siblings sit in Romania, packed in suitcases, eagerly waiting for travel arrangements to their new home. The little ones must under no circumstances remain in the animal shelter and we wish them to learn, at a young age, what it means to belong to a real family. Lenox is a very special little fellow. Unlike his siblings, Lenox's fur shines completely white. The friendly puppy is about 4 months old and will grow to be medium-sized. He gets along very well with other dogs and is also very happy to interact with people. The little whirlwind puppy typically plays with his siblings, explores his surroundings, and also knows how to settle down. The only thing that beautiful Lenox still lacks is a cozy dog bed in a home where he can grow up feeling safe and loved. Do you perhaps have a spare dog bed? Adopting a dog—especially a puppy—from an animal shelter is an incredibly enriching experience, but it requires some basic prerequisites. We are looking for people to adopt Lenox who do not expect anything extraordinary from him. He is still a baby and must learn many things. Therefore, potential adopters should be prepared to offer a lot of time, patience, love, and perhaps a little treat. It is also important to consider that Lenox is still going through puberty, a time when young puppies often have a bit of mischief in their heads and test boundaries. With loving consequences during this time, Lenox can grow into a loyal, lifelong companion. Lenox would also be very happy to attend a positively working puppy school! At this point, he will be microchipped, dewormed, and given an EU pet passport. He would also be very happy to have a loving foster home! Has Lenox managed to make your heart beat a little faster? We look forward to your inquiry! Many thanks to Sofia! You named Lenox. Gets along with other dogs.

Vielen Dank an Sofia! Du hast Lenox seinen Namen geschenkt.

About Lenox

What life with Lenox looks like

Lenox is a extra-large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lenox, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lenox?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lenox on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lenox if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lenox already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lenox isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lenox and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
