Yolander & Bentley

European Shorthair · Female · Senior · 10 years

Yolander (11/28/15) is infinitely affectionate and kind, sweet and full of energy for play. Her companion and great friend Bentley (4/27/14) is a very sensitive and gentle dog who suffers from the stigma of being labeled a "PPP." Together, they’ve become inseparable at the shelter, where they’ve grown up and aged side by side. They’ve shared years, routines, and countless moments of love, forging a truly special bond that we’d like to honor. That’s why we’re looking for a joint adoption for them. Over time, age-related changes have begun to appear—such as osteoarthritis—and now more than ever, they need a home where they can rest comfortably, feel secure, and know they’re loved. Even if it’s just an open-ended foster arrangement, what matters most is that they can leave the shelter and enjoy this stage of life in peace and with plenty of affection. Yolander and Bentley are those kinds of companions who don’t ask for much but give everything they’ve got. All they need is one chance to spend their golden years surrounded by company, together—as they’ve always been.

ES·Show original

About Yolander & Bentley

What life with Yolander & Bentley looks like

Yolander & Bentley is a senior european shorthair dog waiting at A.D.A. Noguera in Spain.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Yolander & Bentley, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Yolander & Bentley?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. A.D.A. Noguera handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Yolander & Bentley on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Yolander & Bentley if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — A.D.A. Noguera will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Yolander & Bentley already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Yolander & Bentley isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with A.D.A. Noguera early rather than rehoming privately; they know Yolander & Bentley and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
