Boni (Бони)

Mixed Breed · Female

When Bony arrived at our shelter, she was in terrible condition. Behind her was a period that had left its marks both on her body and on her trust in people. But Bony showed us how much real care can change. With veterinary treatment, patience, and a great deal of love, she slowly recovered, grew stronger, and learned again that a human hand can mean tenderness and security. Today, a completely different Bony stands before us. Healthy, beautiful, and ready for the next chapter of her life. We have done our part—we helped her stand on her feet again. Now she lacks only what no shelter can give her: a home of her own and a person of her own. We don't want her story to be remembered for the condition in which we found her. We want it to be the story of a dog who was given a second chance and made the most of it.

About Boni (Бони)

What life with Boni (Бони) looks like

Boni (Бони) is an adult mixed breed dog waiting at Lajka - Dog Shelter Skopje in Skopje.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇲🇰Adopting from North Macedonia

The shelter typically completes the animal's vaccinations, microchipping, and pet passport before adoption. Specific fees and process details vary by shelter and country — confirm directly via the contact details in the sidebar.

Frequently asked

Adopting Boni (Бони), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Boni (Бони)?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Lajka - Dog Shelter Skopje handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Boni (Бони) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Boni (Бони) if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Lajka - Dog Shelter Skopje will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Boni (Бони) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Boni (Бони) isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Lajka - Dog Shelter Skopje early rather than rehoming privately; they know Boni (Бони) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (MK). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
