Bonita

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 4 months

Bonita is looking for her forever home! ❤️ Approx. 4 months old (as of 13.09.2026) | friendly, lively The little Bonita was found abandoned on a field with her siblings and mom by one of our volunteer helpers. 😔💔 Fortunately, the little family didn't have to be left alone for long. We secured them and brought them to safety. Now Bonita and her family can finally arrive, relax and receive the necessary medical care. 🐾🏡❤️ Bonita is initially a bit cautious and needs some time to gain trust. Once she has gained this trust, her puppy-typical nature comes to the fore: she is lively, curious, playful and has a lot of nonsense in her head. 😍🐶💕 Now all that's missing for Bonita is her own family, which will show her how beautiful a sheltered dog life can be. ❤️ We are looking for people for Bonita who will show her patience, love and loving consistency and start a happy new life with her. 🏡🐾 ✨ Bonita is waiting for her people - maybe for you? ✨ Bonita is vaccinated, chipped, dewormed, not yet neutered and examined by a veterinarian and in possession of an EU pet passport. All our dogs travel with official Traces papers and Paragraph 11 approval to Germany. Our dogs are additionally tested for Mediterranean diseases with a rapid test. The deposit is €520 plus €30 for the purchase of the safety harness. Note: If we assign our dogs to certain breeds, we orient ourselves exclusively on the external appearance as well as the observable behavior (phenotype). That is: This assignment is made according to the best knowledge and conscience of the association as well as the participating veterinarians. However, these information do not necessarily correspond to the actual genetic makeup (genotype), because a reliable determination of this would only be possible through a DNA analysis. In addition, the behavioral and character description of the respective animal is based on careful observations by the animal protectors on site or by the respective foster homes. It should be noted that these assessments relate exclusively to the current local conditions in the shelters or foster homes. It is important to understand that the fur nose will change after a successful

About Bonita

What life with Bonita looks like

Bonita is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Rescued Souls e.V. in Pfinztal.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bonita, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bonita?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Rescued Souls e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bonita on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bonita if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Rescued Souls e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bonita already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bonita isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Rescued Souls e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bonita and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
