BONNIE

European Shorthair · Female · Kitten

Bonnie was surrendered to the association at the request of one of our partner veterinarians. During her spaying, the veterinarian discovered that she was already pregnant despite her very young age. She was therefore aborted. Bonnie is full of love, she loves cuddles and likes to snuggle up against her human. She's a real foodie, but knows when to say no. She's curious, sociable and very playful. She can be a bit reserved at first, but once comfortable she becomes an affectionate ball of love. The ideal for Bonnie would be a family that is around often because she is really very close to humans. She is very clingy and loves being close to her human. She's ok with cats and small dogs. She's clean. In foster care with Julie (contact Nathalie).

About BONNIE

What life with BONNIE looks like

BONNIE is a small puppy/kitten european shorthair cat waiting at Refuge Rêves de chiens in Viry-Châtillon.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting BONNIE, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about BONNIE?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Refuge Rêves de chiens handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw BONNIE on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt BONNIE if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Refuge Rêves de chiens will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is BONNIE already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if BONNIE isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Refuge Rêves de chiens early rather than rehoming privately; they know BONNIE and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
