Bono

European Shorthair · Male · Kitten · 1 month

Bono is very playful and curious for his age. He is still quite reserved around people and needs to learn that people are not so scary. Bono needs to learn about life in a household and how to coexist with humans. Currently, Bono is still with his siblings under the care of Mothercat Blueberry, and when he is 10 weeks old, he can move into a new home. A meet-and-greet is possible now. All our kittens live in groups to allow them to develop socially. Especially for kittens, interaction with fellow animals plays an important role. Therefore, we would only like to rehome Bono with another kitten or to a cat already living in the household of a similar age. Bono has not yet been neutered and should be neutered around 6 months of age. Only after the surgery can he go outdoors. This cat needs outdoor access. This animal is not yet neutered/spayed.

DE·Show original

About Bono

What life with Bono looks like

Bono is a puppy/kitten european shorthair cat waiting at BMT Tierheim Arche Noah Stuhr in Germany.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bono, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bono?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. BMT Tierheim Arche Noah Stuhr handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bono on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bono if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — BMT Tierheim Arche Noah Stuhr will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bono already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bono isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with BMT Tierheim Arche Noah Stuhr early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bono and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
