Boomer

Mixed Breed · Male

Boomer is chocolate 😊 Not just because of his coloring but also his personality 😊 A wonderful dog! Almost a labrador. Pyszczek Boomera, though obviously scarred by other dogs, still wears a smile and confirms his positive attitude towards the whole world, including other dogs. Boomer really thrives and enjoys their presence. He could therefore live in a home where there are already such dogs 🙂 He has already had his first walks, and it was clear that he derives a lot of joy from them. It was also evident that he was not familiar with the leash, gently gnawing at it in stressful situations. Despite this, his walking is really going well, getting better with each walk. In terms of people, Boomer is spoiled. He delights in their presence, eager for attention and touch. On walks, he constantly draws attention to humans, walking close by, often approaching and asking for petting. It is very important to him when he can sit with a human just like that. He cuddles then and makes the most of the shared moments. He also loves shared interactions and playtime on the dog play area.

About Boomer

What life with Boomer looks like

Boomer is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Milanówku in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Boomer, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Boomer?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Milanówku handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Boomer on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Boomer if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Milanówku will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Boomer already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Boomer isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Milanówku early rather than rehoming privately; they know Boomer and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
