Bop

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 4 months

Bop is one of those dogs who arrived at the shelter very young, not yet knowing what lay ahead. He is the son of Trella, one of the Podencas rescued along with Xispa and Piga from a house where over 40 dogs lived in very harsh conditions. Bop was lucky to find a family and, about a year ago, he was adopted along with another puppy from Piga's litter. We thought that was the start of the life he so deserved: a home, a family, and the peace of mind of growing up with someone. However, recently the two have returned to the shelter because their adopters no longer want to take care of them. And although it is difficult for us to understand that after a year a family can decide they can no longer or do not want to care for their dogs, the most important thing now is to look forward and ensure that this time Bop finds a permanent home. Because Bop is still the same affectionate, playful, and active dog we met when he was a puppy. He loves to enjoy, play, and share moments with people, and he has his whole life ahead of him to feel part of a family again. An adoption is not just about opening the door of your home for a while. It is about taking on the commitment to care for, accompany, and love an animal for their entire life. Bop has already experienced an untimely first departure, and now he deserves to know what it means to have a family that stays. Bop is ready to start again. Would you like to be the one to give him that forever home? If you live in the province of Castellón and want to adopt a companion or know someone who wants to adopt a furry friend, that's Bop, contact us by whatsapp at 643757900. About Bop

What life with Bop looks like

Bop is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Huellas Callejeras in Spain.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bop, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bop?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Huellas Callejeras handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bop on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bop if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Huellas Callejeras will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bop already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bop isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Huellas Callejeras early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bop and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
