Bossa

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 6 years

Beautiful Bossa came to us together with 2 other dogs from Royfonte dog hotel, which was closing it's doors, and the 3 dogs that had stayed there for years for one reason or another, now had nowhere to go and the new owners were not open to looking for options for the dogs before taking them away from their known environment. Bossa has been living together a big Sharpei/Presa Canario mixed boy, who has always been her bodyguard and best companion. Now her bodyguard is reserved for adoption, and Bossa really does not want to stay alone in the shelter. When Bossa is alone, without Ramon or other dogs, in a new situation, then you can see that she is worried. Not so much afraid, and definitely not panicked, but just worried. Bossa has a bit of a shy, quiet nature by default, so she is mostly staying in the background, and not bothering anyone. Unless you have snacks in your pocket, then all the shyness is forgotten and you'll quickly find Bossa squeezing herself closer and closer to you, to find the opening to your bag or pocket, and get her long nose to the snacks. She loves food and we can see it on her bodyshape. Bossa walks incredibly well and calmly on the leash and it is very pleasant to be around her, she is not nervous or hectic, just quiet and slightly worried. Bossa is looking for a home near nature, with daily repetitive routines, a life where not so many new things are happening every day - at least in the beginning while she is settling in with her new home and family. Even though Bossa could actually also manage as an only dog, then this is not what makes her truly happy. To have the best chances for a very happy life for Bossa, then we are looking for a home with another friendly, kind, supportive dog who will be on Bossa's side in everyday life, and be a supporting shoulder when worries come to her mind. When she sees her canine friend, then happiness wakes up in her, and she starts to run and play. Bossa is very kind, soft and lovely with all humans that she meets, including children, and as she is not skittish or scared, then she would also be suitable to live in a home with a bit older children, who are dog-educated. At the moment she is shy about going into a car, but once she is inside, she stays calm. The same applies to new places and new situations, when she is by herself, and for that reason we are looking for a home where daily routines would look quite similar day after day. Her shoulder height is 52cm.

About Bossa

What life with Bossa looks like

Bossa is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Triple A Marbella in Marbella.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bossa, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bossa?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Triple A Marbella handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bossa on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bossa if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Triple A Marbella will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bossa already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bossa isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Triple A Marbella early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bossa and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
