Adopt Bosse P

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 1 year

Profile: Age: Born around May 2025. Gender: male. neutered: no Character: still a bit unsure, but friendly Size: growing, will be about medium-sized Im Shelter since: October 2025 Family: Sister Inara Hello to all people. I am Bosse, the brother of Inara. The one who always pretended to be brave. Here in the shelter, I have become quiet. I observe a lot, trying to understand why we are here. Sometimes I think, maybe we did something wrong – but then I look at my sister, and I know: We just had a bit of bad luck. That we ended up in the shelter came suddenly. We lived outside, free and independent, but always on the lookout for something edible. We have to get used to life here in the shelter. From our safe little home, we observe the goings-on in the shelter and learn from the other dogs how to get by here. The days here are long. The barking echoes, the ground is hard. But when someone passes by, I carefully lift my head. Just a glance – maybe they will stop. Maybe they will see the dog that I could be if they give me a chance. When people approach us, we begin to understand. We are nice dogs, and soft words and gentle touches are the key to our hearts. We enjoy quietly and softly. I wish for people who give me security without pressing me. A garden where I can run again. A voice that is gentle and patient. I know I will need time to learn that love stays. But once I learn that, I will never let go. I am a young dog at the beginning of my life and am ready for my new life! Maybe you would like to accompany me on this journey? If you are interested in Bosse, please fill out our interest form (), or write us an email or a message on Facebook. Bosse is ready to travel and can travel to Germany with the next transport. Our dogs travel legally with Traces. As Traces, one refers to the database system with which the entire animal transport within the EU is monitored. The dogs travel neutered (if old enough), vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed, and have an EU passport. Additionally, for dogs over 12 months old, a rapid test for the following Mediterranean diseases is conducted before travel arrangements: Borrelia, Anaplasma, Ehrlichia, Dirofilaria, and leishmaniasis. Judith P. has taken the guardianship for Bosse and ensures a full plate. Many thanks on behalf of the dogs!

About Bosse P

What life with Bosse P looks like

Bosse P is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Seelen für Seelchen e.V. in Alfter.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bosse P, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bosse P?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Seelen für Seelchen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bosse P on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bosse P if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Seelen für Seelchen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bosse P already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bosse P isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Seelen für Seelchen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bosse P and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
