adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Bounty has found a home! Her story: Our helpers in Romania have seen a lot of suffering, but there are situations that are even sadder than they can imagine. The case of our litter of puppies, consisting of Tomate, Bounty, Rübe, Jolina, and Crumble, is one such situation that leaves us speechless. The little mice were rescued from a horror animal shelter. There were once seven puppies, but unfortunately, two of them have passed away. When we took them in, they were tiny, full of parasites and lice, and very weak. The capacity for more puppies was already full, but we couldn't leave the little ones to a certain death. Now, they have been treated and are recovering from the hardships of their first few months of life. Currently, they are about 2.5 months old. They are expected to grow to a small size. The little furball Bounty is cuddly and timid. She is typical of a puppy, curious and happy for attention and kind words. She gets along well with her fellow animals. She is still very small, but after the clumsy puppy phase, puberty will follow. During this time, she will test her owners and push the boundaries. She needs someone who can stand by her during this hormone chaos and provide the necessary understanding and support so that she can grow into a great dog. Positive reinforcement training and loving consequences will help her get through this time well and emerge as a strong team. Because Bounty would never do something consciously to upset you. She can often be confused by her behavior during this tumultuous time and hopes that you will always stand behind her during this difficult time. Living children in the household should be old enough to understand the new companion and not misunderstand her. It's now time to find new friends in dog training classes and finally "learn" something – maybe with you? She is eager to learn the dog ABC and form new friendships. She is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for fleas, and she comes with a positive Naturally, she also brings her own EU pet passport. For an adoption fee of 500 Euros, she can move in. Can Bounty finally arrive with you? Many thanks, Astrid W.! You named Bounty! As of: 23.02.

Vielen Dank Astrid W.! Du hast Bounty ihren Namen geschenkt. Stand: 23.02.2025

About Bounty

What life with Bounty looks like

Bounty is a very small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bounty, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bounty?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bounty on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bounty if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bounty already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bounty isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bounty and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
