Adopt Brady

Mixed Breed · Male · Senior · 9 years

Age: Born around April 2024 Gender: Male Neutered: Yes Character: Friendly, curious, polite, reserved, compatible with fellow animals Size: Approximately 50 cm In shelter since: June 2024 Siblings: Belani, Baluk & (Ramon, Moana – already rehomed) A wonderful hello from the shelter! I am part of a large sibling group consisting of 4 boys and 2 girls. We were found, without our mother, in the Pampa near the shelter gates when we were only a few weeks old. Since June 2024, we have been living here in the shelter and can now feel safe. Like each of us, I have the great wish to soon have a loving family call me their own. Where this will lead me, I still don't know exactly. But that doesn't stop me from looking forward to the future with joy and anticipation. In the meantime, I make the most of my time in the shelter: I share my pen with three girls, with whom I get along wonderfully. When visitors come, my roommates like to step a little into the foreground – I prefer to stay politely in the background for now, but I quickly get caught up in their excitement and become curious. I am simply a good-natured, socially compatible pup who loves harmony. I can hardly wait for the day when I can pack my bags. Because that means a wonderful dog life with loving and patient people is waiting for me. A life with action, adventure, and training, but with just as many quiet and relaxed hours at home. With people who mean something to me. My family. If you are interested in Brady, please fill out our interest form () or write us an email or a message on Facebook. Brady is ready to travel and can travel to Germany with the next transport. Our dogs travel legally with Traces. Traces refers to the database system that monitors the entire animal transport within the EU. The dogs are neutered (if old enough), vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed, and they have an EU passport. Additionally, for dogs over 12 months old, a rapid test for the following Mediterranean diseases is conducted before travel arrangements: Lyme disease, Anaplasmosis, Ehrlichiosis, Dirofilariasis, and leishmaniasis. Linda S. has taken the paternity for Brady and ensures a full plate. Many thanks on behalf of the dogs!. Gets along with other dogs.

About Brady

What life with Brady looks like

Brady is a medium-sized senior mixed breed dog waiting at Seelen für Seelchen e.V. in Alfter.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Brady, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Brady?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Seelen für Seelchen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Brady on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Brady if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Seelen für Seelchen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Brady already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Brady isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Seelen für Seelchen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Brady and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
