Adopt Brandon

Male · Young · 1 year

Barndona can be met every day at our Ochota na Kota point on Grójecka Street 79. No appointment is needed for meeting, just come during the point's operating hours. Brandon came to us at the beginning of the year. At first, he was terrified of being in the animal shelter. He could attack out of fear. However, today Brandon is a different cat. He continues to learn about life with people, gets scared by loud noises, and doesn't like sudden movements. But we already know that when he feels comfortable and safe, he offers his head for scratching, loves to climb onto knees, and affectionately rubs his nose. When he gets scared, he hides in his hideout, but after a while, when he realizes there is no danger, he happily comes out and looks for positive interaction with a person. He values quality play that helps him reduce stress. Brandon feels more and more confident every day. We invite you to meet the pre-adoption questionnaire: Before adoption, make sure your home/apartment is safe and properly prepared to welcome a new family member. Note: If you decide to adopt a cat or are considering it, definitely bring a carrier or transport bag for cats to the animal shelter.

About Brandon

What life with Brandon looks like

Brandon is a small young adult cat waiting at Schronisko Na Paluchu in Warsaw.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

Note from the shelter: High stress levels, requires patient socialization approach

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Brandon, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Brandon?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Na Paluchu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Brandon on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Brandon if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Na Paluchu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Brandon already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Brandon isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Na Paluchu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Brandon and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
