adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Bria has found her home! Her story: Our beautiful Bria no longer understands the world. She has been waiting patiently in her foster home since the end of April 2025. And although she has settled in very well there, it is time for her final family. She has a shoulder height of approximately 55 cm and currently weighs 22 kg. She is a confident young lady and shows no fears, for example, of lawn mowers or televisions. Bria gets along well with dogs, enjoys playing and wrestling. Bria wants to be physically and mentally stimulated, but one must also think about rest periods. Bria is an enthusiastic car passenger and looks forward to many new adventures. But she also enjoys sharing a sun lounger with her people and cuddling very affectionately and thoroughly. By now, she also calms down well after a nice walk or other exertion. She of course, as a young dog, also has a few ideas in her head. She is only 1.5 years old. It is nice to see the successes in learning and to be happy about them. House-trained she was from the start. She is friendly to strangers, whether male or female, children in the household should be a bit older. With the two dogs of the foster home, she can stay alone without a problem. If she is to be left alone without a second dog, of course, this must still be practiced. Small animals and cats should not be in the new home, as she would likely chase them. A sovereign only-dog, who does not let others take the butter from his bread, can live in the new home. With Bria, you bring life into the house, for which you need time, patience, and sometimes a sense of humor. A young dog is, after all, a task. Bria moves into her new EU home with her neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated paperwork. Stand: 31.08. Thank you, Anke K., for not only giving Bria her wonderful name but also giving her the chance to find her own family.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 31.08.2025

About Bria

What life with Bria looks like

Bria is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bria, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bria?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bria on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bria if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bria already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bria isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bria and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
