BRONX

Male · Kitten · 3 months

Bronx and Brooklyn came to our shelter with their siblings and their mother. Both are about 3 months old and are still at the beginning of their lives. Bronx and Brooklyn are currently very anxious and shy. They are not yet willing to be petted and quickly panic when held or lifted. This requires special caution and patience from the veterinarian. At the same time, the two are already showing their playful and lively side. They are young cats who are curious about their surroundings and want to play and romp with each other. We assume that with the necessary calm, patience, and positive experiences, they can still make great progress and their characters will continue to unfold in their new home. However, we cannot yet say how affectionate they will ultimately want to be. We are looking for a quiet home for Bronx and Brooklyn, where they can be given the time they need to build trust and arrive at their own pace. We can imagine larger, understanding children, as long as they leave the two their own space and do not pressure them. A secured or networked balcony would be especially nice for Bronx and Brooklyn, so that they can later enjoy some fresh air and variety. Bronx and Brooklyn are already a familiar duo and would like to move into their new home together. They can give each other security, play together and grow up together. Bronx and Brooklyn are both too young to be spayed or neutered. This must be done at the age of 6-8 months in the new home. We are very happy that maybe one of our protégés will find a new home with you soon.

DE·Show original

About BRONX

What life with BRONX looks like

BRONX is a large puppy/kitten cat waiting at Tierschutzverein München.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting BRONX, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about BRONX?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein München handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw BRONX on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt BRONX if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein München will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is BRONX already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if BRONX isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein München early rather than rehoming privately; they know BRONX and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
