Bruce – In foster – Wales

English Bulldog · Male

Please welcome Brucey into foster care. This lovable boy is 4½ years old and has sadly been surrendered because his family no longer had the time they felt he deserved. We completely understand how difficult this decision has been, and we’re grateful that we were able to step in and help. We kindly ask that there is no judgement during this emotional time. Bruce is a very much-loved family pet, and this has been a truly heartbreaking decision for his owners. Since arriving in foster, Brucey has already shown us what a wonderful little character he is! He has settled in quickly with the lovely Ian and Chris in Wales, who are new foster carers with GBSR. We’re delighted to have them on board and so excited to see Brucey thriving in their care. Welcome, Brucey. We promise we’ll take good care of you. As with all dogs that come into our care, Bruce will be heading to the vets for a full health check. Bruce does currently have a cherry eye, which we are aware of and will be looking to resolve as part of his veterinary assessment and treatment plan. We’ll keep everyone updated on his progress along the way. Please do not apply for Bruce at this time, as he is not yet available for adoption. We will let everyone know as soon as he is ready to find his forever home. Please join us in giving Bruce a very warm welcome to the Geordie Bullies family. Please note that Bruce has only just arrived in foster and is not available for adoption. Applications are not open at this time, so please don’t attempt to apply for him just yet. We’ll share his adoption poster once he’s reached the end of his assessment period. For more updates on all our dogs please join our community group Remember to answer the question, otherwise your request will be denied. {"slide_to_show":"3","slide_to_scroll":"1","autoplay":"true","autoplay_speed":"3000","speed":"800","arrows":"true","dots":"false","loop":"true","centermode":"false"}

About Bruce – In foster – Wales

What life with Bruce – In foster – Wales looks like

Bruce – In foster – Wales is a adult english bulldog dog waiting at Geordie Bullies Springboard Rescue in United Kingdom.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

Frequently asked

Adopting Bruce – In foster – Wales, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bruce – In foster – Wales?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Geordie Bullies Springboard Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bruce – In foster – Wales on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bruce – In foster – Wales if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Geordie Bullies Springboard Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bruce – In foster – Wales already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bruce – In foster – Wales isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Geordie Bullies Springboard Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bruce – In foster – Wales and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
