Adopt Bruna

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Puppy · 4 months

Our Bruna belongs to the dogs who spent their entire lives, in her case three long years, in the animal shelter. Why? Bruna was found as a puppy by children on a street near the shelter. Acting with generosity and responsibility, the children brought the puppy to the animal shelter. Bruna was a charming little, cheerful, and playful puppy and, above all – curious about life. She didn’t stand out with her brown-spotted fur, caused no trouble, and adapted to everyone and everything. But no one noticed her beautiful amber eyes, which looked so deeply into her fine soul. Bruna waited day after day for someone to come and take her. She grew into a beautiful, stately female dog. Three years have passed, but no one came, and we all hope that this will change now, Hello, here is Bruna: Friendly to people, to dogs, and generally also to cats. Our shelter cats could always observe her through the bars of her enclosure, and she showed no aggression. A mutual sniffing from both sides – and that was it. When meeting people, not only the tail but the whole dog wags, so much does the little girl look forward to it. Whether an individual, a couple, or an adventure-seeking family with slightly older children – many configurations would suit Bruna. It’s time that you find a home, Bruna. That someone recognizes what a great life companion you could be. Someone who has the desire and time to explore the world with you and show you what you still need to learn to become the dream team.

About Bruna

What life with Bruna looks like

Bruna is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein Europa in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bruna, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bruna?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Europa handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bruna on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bruna if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Europa will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bruna already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bruna isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Europa early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bruna and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
