Rabbits do enjoy the companionship of humans and can become very affectionate and enjoy taking tasty fresh forage from your hands. Rabbits do not enjoy being handled and they can find loud noises and sudden movement scary, so they are often suited to families with slightly older children. Rabbits need lots of space to keep them fit, healthy and happy, the ideal outdoor accommodation for a pair should consist of either a shed/wendy house or a 1.8m (6ft) single level hutch, attached to a 3m long by 2m wide by 1m high run. Alternatively, the ideal indoor accommodation for a pair should consist of a large room that the rabbits can have 24hr access to, plus daily access to other areas in the home, as well as a secure run to use outdoors in the garden in the warmer months.
