Buho FIV+ (Wohnungskatze)

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 5 years

Buho was born around October 2021. The black long-haired cat Buho lived in a cat colony on a main street. Since Buho always sought the company of animal rescuers, he was allowed to move to the shelter. The Spanish Buho is calm, gentle, affectionate, and very cuddly. He loves petting and is very attached to humans. Maybe Buho will be lucky and be able to move in with another FIV+ companion to his home of happiness. Buho was tested FIV+ and therefore wishes as a house cat a home with a large interconnected balcony or secured outdoor access. Further information on FIV+ can be found on our website or at: www.handicapcats.ch Buho is neutered, tested, microchipped, and vaccinated and is being placed with a pet adoption letter. Adoption fee (contribution to costs): 380.00 CHF excl. VAT.

About Buho FIV+ (Wohnungskatze)

What life with Buho FIV+ (Wohnungskatze) looks like

Buho FIV+ (Wohnungskatze) is an adult mixed breed cat waiting at Waisenkatzen.ch in Waisenkatzen.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Buho FIV+ (Wohnungskatze), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Buho FIV+ (Wohnungskatze)?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Waisenkatzen.ch handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Buho FIV+ (Wohnungskatze) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Buho FIV+ (Wohnungskatze) if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Waisenkatzen.ch will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Buho FIV+ (Wohnungskatze) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Buho FIV+ (Wohnungskatze) isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Waisenkatzen.ch early rather than rehoming privately; they know Buho FIV+ (Wohnungskatze) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
