Photos: Sascha Lamozik-Feenstaubentertainment My name is Pomfritz. I am male, microchipped, and born in 2021. I am approximately 60cm tall. I have been waiting since June 2022 for a new home. My caretakers say about me: Listmix Pomfritz is a private rehome. Reluctantly, he was given to us because he no longer got along with the existing senior dog. Out of concern for the children and insight that two dogs of this caliber are hard to manage. Pomfritz is an extremely people-friendly hund with many colorful flowers in his sturdy head. He was raised in the countryside and, in our view, enjoyed too many freedoms. More boundaries might have prevented this sad situation. Nonetheless, he is still a great dog with a lot of learning willingness and a big cuddle need. The leash is now manageable without hands and leash most of the time. Due to his cuddle need, he also couldn't be held back. Bully-type, he is stubborn and sometimes hard to take away from things once he has fixed his attention on them. Positive motivation paired with consistency eases this, but he still needs to learn that no means no. An ideally fenced garden with a house would be ideal, of course, Pomfritz can also be rehomed to an apartment. Children should be stable and also dog-experienced if present. His new owners need to be prepared for dog training classes, of course, as well as the necessary responsibility for life with a child and a dog. Other animals should be tried, here training is definitely necessary. A life as a second dog can only be imagined with a confident first dog. For these reasons, we currently see Pomfritz more as a single dog, but with the goal of learning harmonious interactions with other dogs. Dog training classes are a prerequisite. His big problem are occasional dog encounters; one day he behaves well, the next he puts everything into it. Currently, a caretaker is working with him, as well as on the acceptance of a muzzle... and/or haltis. First progress is noticeable, we hope that a training enthusiast with a lot of cuddle need will find the perfect match for Pomfritz to become the companion he has the potential to be. Who would like to show off our Wuchtbrumme with the colorful flowers in his head that even with good 35 kilos, he can run like a feather on the leash and still enjoy life?. Das sagen meine Betreuer über mich: Listenmix Pomfritz ist eine Privartabgabe. Schweren Herzens wurde er bei uns abgegeben, weil er sich irgendwann nicht mehr mit dem vorhandenen Altrüden verstand. Aus Sorge um die Kinder und der Einsicht, das zwei Rüden dieses Kalibers im Ernstfall nur schwer zu händeln sind. Pomfritz ist ein überaus menschenfreunlicher Hundemann mit vielen bunten Blumen im wuchtigen Köfchen. Er ist ländlich aufgewachsen und genoß aus unserer Sicht zu viele Freiheiten. Mehr Grenzen hätten hier vielleicht diese traurige Situation vermieden. Nichts desto trotz ein toller Hund mit viel Lernwillen und einem großen Kuschelbedürfnis. Das Anleinen klappt bis auf Ausnahmen inzwischen ohne Hände und Leine durchzukauen. Vor lauter Schmusebedarf kannte er auch dort kein Halten. Bullytypisch ist er dickköpfig und manchmal schwer von einmal fixierten Dingen in der Umwelt abzubringen. Positive Motivation gepaart mit Konsequenz erleichtert ihm das, trotzdem muss er noch lernen, das Nein auch Nein heisst. Ein gut umzäunter Garten mit einem Haus darauf wären ideal, natürlich kann Pomfritz auch in reine Wohnungshaltung vermittelt werden. Kinder sollten standfest und auch Hundeerfahren sein, wenn vorhanden. Seine neuen Halter benötigen neben der Bereitschaft zur Hundeschule natürlich auch diese Voraussetzungen und die nötige Verantwortung für das Leben mit Kind und Hund. Andere Tiere müsste man ausprobieren, hier ist mit Sicherheit Training nötig. Ein Leben als Zweithund können wir uns nur bei einer souveränen Ersthündin vorstellen. Aus genannten Gründen sehen wir Pommfritz aktuell eher als Einzelhund, jedoch mit dem Ziel, ein kultiviertes Miteinander mit anderen Hunden zu erlernen. Hundeschule ist Vorraussetzung.Sein großes Problem sind ab und an Hundebegegnungen, den einen Tag benimmt er sich prima, am anderen legt er sich raketenartig ins Zeug. Aktuell wird hier mit einem Betreuer gearbeitet, ebenso an der Akzeptanz eines Maulkorbs…und/ oder Haltis. Erste Fortschritte sind erkennbar, wir hoffen, eine trainingsbegeisterter Mensch mit viel Kuschelbedarf findet hier fpr sich und Pommfritz die golgene Mitte, um ihn zu dem Begleiter zu machen, der in ihm steckt. Wer mag unserer Wuchtbrumme mit den bunten Blümchen im Kopf zeigen, das man auch mit guten 35 Kilo wie eine Feder an der Leine laufen kann und trotzdem Freude am Leben hat?
