Adopt Bulli

Cane Corso · Male · Adult · 4 years

Bulli Tier-ID: 1139 At the animal shelter since 15.04.2026 (Current Interested Parties: 0) Bulli urgently needs a very experienced and suitable home. Bulli is a Cane Corso, born on 16.12.2021, a neutered male dog, weighing approximately 42 kg and about 65 cm tall. He is vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and according to his owner, in good health. For Bulli, a muzzle and leash are required. He has been classified as dangerous due to two biting incidents. Bulli has lived with his current guardian since January 02, 2024, who took him in from difficult circumstances. With much training, patience, and consistency, he has developed very well in his home environment. He is a loyal, attached, and reliable dog with his trusted people. However, outside his familiar surroundings, Bulli shows insecurity and is not friendly to strangers. Walks can be managed well with experience, physical strength, and clear leadership. He is compatible with dogs he knows. Similarly, he is compatible with children and other animals if he knows them. A home is sought with people who are extremely experienced with dogs, have a clear understanding, and the necessary authority. A minimum of a 1.80 m high fenced yard in a quiet location is absolutely required. Due to health issues and impending termination, the guardian cannot keep Bulli and is therefore urgently seeking an appropriate home for him.

Besitzerin gesundheitlich in guter Verfassung.

About Bulli

What life with Bulli looks like

Bulli is a large adult cane corso dog waiting at Tierschutzverein Lippstadt und Umgebung e.V. in Germany.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bulli, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bulli?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Lippstadt und Umgebung e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bulli on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bulli if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Lippstadt und Umgebung e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bulli already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bulli isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Lippstadt und Umgebung e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bulli and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
