Adopt Bunny

adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Bunny has found her people! Her story: Klausenburg, Romania. Sweet, sweeter Bunny. With the little girl puppy, we can't decide which is cuter, her fluffy face, or her short little legs. Whatever we decide, the little mouse is simply melt-worthy. We can't understand how someone could abandon such a treasure, but thanks to Bunny's luck, we found her and are now helping her find a nice home. Currently, the sweetness is about 5 months old, and her little legs suggest she will likely grow to be small, at most medium-sized. Initially, Bunny shows a bit of reserve, but then is open and puppy-like, playful and cuddly. She gets along excellently with her fellow animals. We suspect that somewhere along the line, a terrier must have mixed in. Terriers are very intelligent dogs and are often very people-oriented. However, despite her small size, it's important not to overlook that she is a real energy bundle that wants to be exercised and can sometimes bring a certain prey drive. Games that challenge the mind and extended walks are especially enjoyed by this type of dog and are necessary to adequately tire them. Soon, puberty will be upon Bunny. During this hormone chaos, she will test her owners and push the boundaries. She needs someone who can stand by her during this time and provide the necessary understanding and support so she can grow into a great dog. Positive reinforcement training and loving consequences will help her navigate this time well and emerge as a strong team. For Bunny would never do something on purpose to upset you. She can often do nothing about her behavior during this tumultuous time and hope that you stand by her during this tough time. Children living in the home should be old enough to understand the new companion and not misunderstand. It's now time to find new friends in dog training classes and finally "learn" something—maybe with you? She is eager to learn the dog ABCs and form new friendships. Bunny will be microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas in her new home. She will of course bring her EU pet passport with her. For an adoption fee of 450 Euros and only after a positive home visit, thank you Silvie S.! You have given Bunny her cute name.

Vielen Dank Silvie S.! Du hast Bunny ihren niedlichen Namen geschenkt.

About Bunny

What life with Bunny looks like

Bunny is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bunny, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bunny?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bunny on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bunny if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bunny already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bunny isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bunny and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
