adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Callia is a delicate, blütenweiße female dog with a shoulder height of about 47 cm, rather small built and of a special, quiet beauty that immediately catches the eye without pushing to the forefront. Her previous life was marked by responsibility: Together with her six puppies, she came to the Shelter in Fantanele. The small family was found completely homeless, and at that time, Callia herself was nothing but skin and bones. An absolutely devoted mother who has cared for her little ones with dedication and always remained in the background. Towards humans, Callia is still cautious, but she gladly accepts gentle affection as long as she is not pressured. At 6 years old, she is in a very good age – balanced, learnable, and ready to finally learn a life beyond caretaking responsibilities. Everything speaks for the fact that she can develop into an active, enriching companion with time, patience, and positive reinforcement. The life in a household is likely completely unknown to her. Everyday noises, new routines, or living in a house will initially be unfamiliar to her. Therefore, a quiet environment is crucial where she can take her time, build security without pressure. For Callia, a foster home would also be of great value, so she can experience standing in the center and settling in a protected environment. Callia is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and flea-treated, has an EU pet passport, and is ready for a positive placement. After all her care for others, it is now time for her to be seen. Many thanks Jessy! You gave Callia her name! Date: 30.05.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Vielen Dank Jessy! Du hast Callia ihren Namen geschenkt! About Callia

What life with Callia looks like

Callia is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Callia, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Callia?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Callia on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Callia if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Callia already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Callia isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Callia and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
