Camilla is approximately 1.5 years old and was simply abandoned. In the region where she was found, she would have had no chance of survival. Now she does not want to look back but to become part of a family. Camilla is a medium-sized female dog, measuring 55 cm and weighing 20 kg. She is incredibly beautiful, with sandy fur and white "stockings" and smart amber eyes. She is not a self-assured female dog. She is quiet and reserved but has no problems with touch and clearly seeks the company of humans. Camilla is a lovely female dog who simply needs some experience with people. She is always friendly and is slowly becoming more curious. With other dogs, Camilla is compatible and currently lives in a "cage share" with Jasper. We can therefore also imagine that Camilla can join a family where a confident single dog lives, which she can look up to. However, this is not a must. A temporary stay in a foster home would also be a valuable opportunity for Camilla. It is likely that Camilla has never experienced the warmth and security of a loving home in her previous life and must therefore learn a lot. The small dog ABC is probably new territory for her. She already handles the leash and harness well and has no fear of touch. We therefore wish for people who are willing to teach Camilla how a harmonious coexistence works. People who are willing to support her. A visit to a positively working dog training class would also be a wonderful opportunity for Camilla and her new family to deepen their relationship and grow as a team. Camilla has already packed her bags and is eagerly waiting for her heart people. She is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas and has an EU pet passport. After a positive Camilla is eager to show you how wonderful life can be? Many thanks to the -community for this beautiful name. Thanks to you, Camilla not only has a name but also the chance at a happy future. As of: 15.04.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 15.04.2026

About Camilla

What life with Camilla looks like

Camilla is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Camilla, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Camilla?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Camilla on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Camilla if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Camilla already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Camilla isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Camilla and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
