Adopt Campeona

Mixed Breed · Unknown

For the sweet Campeona, it now means: Look forward! No compassionate person can imagine what this female dog has endured in her life. We only know that she was recently in the euthanasia shelter, from which shelter staff retrieved her. She is a battered, heart-loving canine soul. When she first arrived at the animal shelter, she was simply terrified of everything and everyone. She remained completely withdrawn, very reserved in her pen for a long time before she dared to slowly come out. It takes her a great deal of strength and courage to show social behavior with other dogs and people. Now, after months, a cautious, slow development in Campeona is becoming visible. When a familiar person approaches her pen, she wags her tail, showing that she is happy. She also responds to her beautiful name and allows herself to be gently stroked. Walking on a leash is still very strenuous for her and very unfamiliar. However, on a slow, short walk, she increasingly takes in her surroundings, showing interest by sniffing or by occasionally directing her gaze in a certain direction and lifting her ears. Campeona is slowly earning herself a piece of normal life, which is as normal as life can be in an animal shelter. Only if she makes progress in the animal shelter, imagine what it would be like in a beautiful home with loving, very patient, and understanding people? For Campeona, the greatest happiness would be to find a person or a family who joyfully accompanies her with positive energy for the last years of her life's journey. It requires a great heart, a huge portion of patience, and loving understanding for this serious female dog. It is also a huge joy to give her a dog-friendly, worthwhile life (in a quiet environment) and to eventually share in her joys, beautiful walks, and cuddle sessions. A dog learns throughout its life. Campeona wants to learn, live, and finally make beautiful experiences. © 2006-2024 by animal welfare association Europa e.V.

© 2006-2024 by Tierschutzverein Europa e.V. - All rights reserved

About Campeona

What life with Campeona looks like

Campeona is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein Europa in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Campeona, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Campeona?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Europa handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Campeona on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Campeona if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Europa will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Campeona already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Campeona isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Europa early rather than rehoming privately; they know Campeona and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
