adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Capper has found his luck! His story: Fantanele, Romania. Beagle fans take note! The wonderful Capper is waiting for his people! Capper was found on the search for food in the trash. He was emaciated and the icy cold was taking its toll. He could be taken into our custody at a private animal shelter and is now waiting for his ticket to happiness. Capper is about 3 years old and has a typical Beagle size of around 43 cm and 16 kg. He is very friendly with people and enjoys company, already walks quite well on a leash, and gets along well with his fellow animals. It is likely that he once had a owner – however, he has also been seen on the streets for a long time. The Beagle is an intelligent companion dog, belonging to the hunting dogs. It also counts as a family dog because Beagles maintain a harmonious and gentle relationship. They are attentive, vigilant, and can act independently and cleverly. Small animals should not live in the family and there should be the willingness to properly address their hunting instincts. In a positively working dog training class, one can surely find a great hobby, such as tracking, dummy training, or obedience. So, the Beagle is not only physically but also mentally well stimulated. We wish active and loving people for Capper who can show him how life in a household works. He has no proper life and must learn the dog ABC with his family. Capper looks forward to long walks, head work, and lots of cuddles from his people. He can be rehomed as a second dog, but he is also happy on his own as long as he has regular contact with his fellow animals.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Capper hat sein Glück gefunden! Seine Geschichte: Fantanele, Rumänien. Beagle-Fans aufgepasst!

About Capper

What life with Capper looks like

Capper is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Capper, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Capper?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Capper on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Capper if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Capper already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Capper isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Capper and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
