Hello there, we are Carla (Tortoise, around 3 years old) and Carlo (red, around 3 years old) and we are looking for a home together with secure outdoor access. We were together in a garden and were also fed there. Since we didn't have owners, we were brought to the animal shelter Nied in February 2025. To be honest, it was also good for us because Carla was pregnant. Here, she could give birth to her children in safety, and they are already all happily rehomed 🙂 Now it's our turn, but that's not so easy, as we are among the shy candidates. We are cautious around people, but we have noticed that you have some extra tasty treats to lure us, so we might just pop by 😛 You/You need to be patient with us. We wish for and therefore a quieter home without much commotion. For the commotion, we are responsible 😀 We love playing with each other or with the great toys that are available. Here, we literally take our space apart at night. But don't worry, we won't break anything! Since we are here among ourselves and of course also want to be transparent, we still have something important to tell you. Carlo tested positive for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV). Those who deal with cats and their diseases know that this does not necessarily reduce the quality of life or life expectancy. What is important is the avoidance of stress, good food, keeping your cat under close watch, and a regular check-up with the vet. Hallo ihr da draußen, wir sind Carla (Schildpatt, ca. 3 Jahre alt) und Carlo (rot, ca. 3 Jahre alt) und suchen gemeinsam ein zu Hause mit gesichertem Freigang. Wir sind zusammen in einem Garten unterwegs gewesen und wurden dort auch gefüttert. Da wir keine Besitzer hatten wurden wir im Februar 2025 ins Tierheim Nied gebracht. Um ehrlich zu sein war das auch gut so, denn Carla war trächtig. Hier konnte sie ihre Kinder in Sicherheit zur Welt bringen und diese sind auch bereits alle glücklich vermittelt 🙂 Jetzt sind wir an der Reihe, aber das ist gar nicht so einfach, da wir zu den scheuen Kandidaten gehören. Menschen gegenüber sind wir vorsichtig, aber wir haben schon gemerkt das ihr so extra leckere Sachen habt zum bestechen, das wir uns doch mal kurz blicken lassen 😛 Du/Ihr braucht Geduld mit uns. Wir wünschen und deshalb einen eher ruhigen Haushalt ohne viel Trubel. Für den Trubel sorgen wir 😀 Wir lieben es miteinander zu spielen oder mit den tollen Spielsachen die es gibt. Da nehmen wir hier Nachts förmlich unseren Raum auseinandern. Aber keine Sorge, wir machen nichts kaputt! Da wir hier ja unter uns sind und natürlich auch transparent sein wollen, erzählen wir euch noch was wichtiges. Carlo wurde positiv auf das feline Immunschwächevirus (FIV) getestet. Wer sich mit Katzen und ihren Krankheiten beschäftigt hat weiß, dass dies nicht zwangsläufig die Lebensqualität wie auch Lebenserwartung mindert. Wichtig ist die Vermeidung von Stress, gutes Futter, seine Katze gut im Auge behalten und ein jählicher Check up beim Tierarzt. Ein guter Tierarzt berät euch auch wie ihr eventuell mit Medikamenten unterstützen könnt, damit der Tierarztbesuch nicht zu stressig wird.
