Carlos is an exceptionally striking cat. With his pale colouring, soft features, and unusual appearance, he strongly resembles an albino Persian. Interestingly, despite his colouring, he does not appear to suffer from the vision or hearing issues often associated with true albinism, which makes him even more unique. Like many Persian cats, Carlos has a naturally calm, gentle presence. Persians are generally known for being affectionate but emotionally relaxed cats who enjoy comfort, quiet environments, and human company without being overly demanding or hyperactive. Carlos fits many of those traits beautifully. He feels very dignified, emotionally soft, and perfectly suited to peaceful indoor living where he can enjoy warmth, routine, and affection. Future adopters should also understand that Persian cats require more grooming and maintenance than many other breeds because of their long coats and facial structure. Regular brushing is extremely important to prevent painful matting, and many Persians also benefit from routine cleaning around the eyes and face. Carlos deserves a home where this care will be seen as an act of love rather than a burden, especially after the neglect he previously endured. His past is heartbreaking. At some point, the man who originally purchased him moved abroad and left Carlos behind with family members who failed him completely. Instead of receiving the care expected for such a vulnerable breed, Carlos became severely neglected. By the time he was finally brought to a vet, the intention was not treatment, but euthanasia. He arrived with an open wound on his forehead and another serious injury on his tail. Thankfully, he was given a second chance instead. Today, both wounds have healed well physically, although the injury on his forehead permanently changed part of his facial expression. One eye now appears slightly lifted, almost as though he permanently carries one raised eyebrow. Rather than taking away from his appearance, it somehow adds even more character to him. It gives him a slightly dramatic, permanently unimpressed expression that suits a Persian cat surprisingly well. Emotionally, Carlos has every reason to have lost trust in people, yet he remains affectionate and emotionally open. Cats like him often seem deeply grateful simply to be treated gently after experiencing neglect for so long. There is something incredibly moving about animals who continue choosing affection after humans have repeatedly failed them. Carlos is fully mature and emotionally settled. He is past the chaos of kittenhood and feels very much like the type of cat who would thrive in a calm, loving household where he can finally experience consistency, comfort, and proper care for the rest of his life. He deserves so much more than being treated like a discarded luxury item once his original owner lost interest. Carlos is not valuable because he is a Persian or because someone once paid a lot of money for him. He is valuable because he survived neglect, pain, and abandonment and still remained gentle afterwards. Now he simply needs someone willing to finally love him properly.
